Acción Latina is a nonprofit organization founded in 1970 that is dedicated to promoting cultural arts, community media and civic engagement as a way of building healthy and empowered Latino communities. This includes (but it is not limited to) a free, award-winning bilingual newspaper, El Tecolote.
In order to celebrate El Tecolote 51 Anniversary, the organization launches a campaign in the City of San Francisco. I am asked to create banners that will run on the MUNI, the City bus transportation, and will be displayed on poles around the City.
Each banner displays one of the several personalities who have collaborated with El Tecolote through the years and a tagline that express the spirit of the organization.
